Encrypted before storage
Your contacts' phone numbers stay private
Every phone number and gateway credential is encrypted with AES-GCM before it's saved, with a key kept separately from the database. Numbers are only decrypted to send a message or when you press “Show phone number”. Bot protection guards every sign-in and form.
Frequently asked questions
Is Relayr really free?
Yes. Relayr doesn't charge per message. SMS are sent from your own phone, so they use your normal mobile plan — often unlimited SMS in Romania.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes, through Apple Shortcuts. iOS doesn't allow any app to send SMS silently in the background, so you run a Relayr Shortcut with a tap or from a Shortcuts automation (daily, weekly or monthly). It sends every message that's due.
How does Android send at the exact time?
You install the free, open-source SMS Gateway for Android app. Relayr queues each message on your phone with its exact send time, and the phone sends it even if Relayr is closed.
Can I import reminders I already have?
Yes. Download the CSV or JSON template, fill in phone numbers and dates, and upload it. Dates without a time get a default hour you choose. Past dates are skipped.
What do I need to fill in for each message?
Only a phone number and a date. Reference (like a plate number or order ID) and name are optional — or you can make them required in Settings.
Is it available in Romanian?
Yes. The whole app, templates and emails work in Romanian and English.
